Yes it is for the regular fund. I'm wondering about the Intraday though. I see on the site that they're not accepting new memebers but I'm still wondering what the returns from THAT one is. |

Isn't it a huge loss with a recovery plan currently?
I will try to see if I can find more, our pool isn't investing there due to high risks involved |

I will clarify if the loss is 2.55% (as reported by Arnaud) or 2.77% (as reported by TAIC), it isn't a typo as Chrise used that 2.77 in every sections.
Whatever, I can tell you we come back from far, showing us that Commodities can go deep down to come back at last minute.
Arnaud is feeling well January, we could finally see back some double digits interests (let's hope for the late birds as me)
Fianlly, JF could add soon a Forex program (not traded by Arnaud but by 3 external traders, more to come)
Here is his letter

News de Joyfund:
A dull month if I ever knew one.
Apart from opening some new positions we haven’t closed even one trade!!!!
The second half of the month has been characterized by the Christmas season and its very low volumes and choppiness.
The only event of this month has been the expiration of the January Orange Juice that we still had in our Portfolio, thus creating a small loss for this month.
No worries, January shall be full of surprises!
What is the return for this month? Tadaaaaa…….
-2.55% or $542.78 per Unit
.
STRUCTURING
At the time of this writing, we are still waiting on our bank to open us the account. Hopefully within days we should have it.
Also, we began the procedure to transfer the account to the new company at our Broker. We are also awaiting for their agreement.
January will see the birth of the new structure on the web and also the creation of an offering memorandum (standard document that summarizes the characteristics and risks related to this investment).
JOY AM Ltd. will be focused on recruiting offline investors with minimum investments much higher than the current one used in Joyfund. Joyfund will always be somehow privileged regarding JOY AM investors.
You have to understand that offline investors are and will be VERY impressed by our performance and this should allow us to increase consistently our investments.
I will post soon some analysis of JOY AM made by Hedge Fund’s databases.
Related to this, it is now paramount to hire some accountant that will review all our Unit calculation and may be square them out. Should there be any changes we will keep you posted.
PAYMENT
All payments except one should be made in the next few days.
ANNOUNCEMENT
In order to synchronize our current rule with general practice in the Hedge Fund world, two main changes:
- performance commission will be lowered from 34% (30%+4%) to 30%;
- a management fee will be introduced in the following months with the possibility for us to anticipate wages for the employees on this fee.
Also, we will launch a Forex fund which is managed by 3 traders around the world. They have a good track record.
More will be disclosed when we are ready.
MARKET OBSERVATION
Besides the earlier comment in this post, most remarkable is the Gold and Silver consolidation (very good for our portfolio) and also the very bullish stance of OJ and Corn.
Sugar is still very deceptive.
Our Live Cattle position looks fine January being a customary bearish month.
The next 2 months feel like being explosive. We shall see |

All I can say for now, is that as in Forex, if a position is in Loss , you can let it open until it come in positive, if it will.
So in the monthly report, you don't have to report a loss, but it's still there, an "open" trade loss |

Hello Everybody,
Sorry for the delay, I completely forgot that Chris was on vacation (as he forgot to remind me too lol).
The january result is 0.12%
For the TAIC members, please log in the forum to review the new TOS and changes applied.

Dear Gray Eminence
I would like to know if it is possible to leave from TraderAIC pool before the 6 months time frame of each "trance".
I am a member since 17th October 2006 and I would like to close my position in there or to sell my position to somebody else.
Profits lock time is 4 months (so for this my position is almost done), and after 6 month members can take out profits and principle.
Thank you for your time and efforts.

Hi Fabio,
If you read the new TOS, you will see that the lock period doesn't exist anymore
If you want to withdraw part or all of your principal + interests, you need to PM Chris before the 21st of the month with your request
Cheers,

I just noticed that JoyFund have another deal on the table with a company, with estimated return of 10x the investment in 2-3 years (min. entry is 1,000 CHF). The deal is on the table Mar/Apr. All information including full disclosure of the company (org chart, financial statements etc.) can be found on their forum. |

They should be open for more investors if you are interested (I'm not yet one), but I think the best for you would be to sign up on their forum as you get access to all the information you need there. |

Sorry Guys,
Chris decided to close the Joyfund pool to new investors and new deposits. The current investors can stay with their current funds.
Cheers,
